1000 Names is a music production duo from Sofia, Bulgaria, consisting of "Casio Blaster" and "99 Mistakes." Both DJs discovered hip-hop culture in the late 1990s and began creating beats together through extensive sampling and recycling of diverse musical sources. Casio Blaster brings a background of drumming with jazz and funk bands, while 99 Mistakes has been involved in various art projects. Since 2003, they have developed their signature style called "eklekto hip-hop," performing in local clubs and mashing up everything from old school to soul music. Their approach centers on breaking the beat and creating innovative sonic collages through their collaborative process.
