FOLK TALES AND VAST LANDSCAPES
PHOTOGRAPHY
Gleeson Paulino is a Brazilian fashion photographer born in Eldorado, Mato Grosso do Sul, a region known for its biodiversity and natural landscapes. At age 17, he left his hometown and strict religious upbringing through a music program, traveling first to Vienna and then to London, where he discovered photography and lived for seven years. Named by i-D magazine in 2021 as one of the leading Brazilian photographers to follow, Paulino's work has been featured in major fashion publications including Harper's Bazaar and Elle. His photography process is deeply influenced by his childhood in Brazil, with folk tales and vast landscapes leaving an indelible mark on his artistic sensibilities. His series "Baptismo" won awards in Italy, Slovenia, and Holland, and has toured Brazilian embassies worldwide, exploring his connection to ancestry and cultural roots through vivid colors and natural settings that reflect his Brazilian heritage.
