Rosa Anschütz is a Berlin-born composer, producer, and transmedia artist whose practice synthesizes electronic music, classical instrumentation, and visual art into haunting sonic landscapes. Her work explores the interplay between vulnerability and strength through poetic lyrics that oscillate between singing and spoken word, creating immersive soundscapes built from guitar, bass, modular synths, analog instruments, and her distinctive ethereal voice. Since beginning to perform in 2016, Anschütz has released four albums including Rigid (2019), Votive (2020), Goldener Strom (2022), Interior (2023), and Sabbatical (2025), each marking an evolution in her sonic approach from electronic textures to increasingly analog and orchestral compositions. Trained in transmedia arts at the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna, she creates multidimensional works that extend beyond music into photography, video, sound installation, and visual art, often producing the entirety of her album covers, music videos, and visual materials herself. Her compositions have been commissioned for theater productions at Schauspielhaus Wien and by intermedia perfumery Folie à Plusieurs, establishing her as a distinctive voice in contemporary experimental music and sound art.
