THE KINETIC BODY

C O L L A G E

Zoë Croggon is a Melbourne-based artist whose practice considers the relationship between the body and its surroundings. Working primarily in collage — and across sculpture, video and drawing — she composes found photographs into spare, single-cut compositions that hold the body in dialogue with architecture, landscape, and movement. Drawing on her early training in dance, Croggon's work studies texture, light and form through the deliberate fracture and rejoining of images. She has held solo exhibitions at the National Gallery of Victoria, Gertrude Contemporary, Silver Eye Centre for Photography (Pittsburgh), and Daine Singer, Melbourne.
