Yeka Haski is a Russian artist and character designer based in Saint Petersburg, known for playful creatures rendered in clean lines and saturated color. Her work spans illustration, animation, fashion, and interior design—always led by humor and action. In June 2014, Haski kept a diary during early summer. Each entry a fragment of her microcosm: skateboarding with friends, shooting promo videos for a women's football team, visiting a bio-art exhibition about bacteria and invisible life. She was designing an outdoor terrace for a creative space—a magic meadow on a roof populated by giant soft characters. Clouds, fried eggs, candy, caterpillars. On June 7, holding a friend's two-month-old baby, watching parents in their new roles. June 22: "All these little pieces, molecules, bacteria, the idea of the Matrioshka of life when one world is situated inside the other." June 27: aroma showers and morning sun. June 30: falling onto cloud pillows. This diary fragrance: playful, bouncing, smooth and round, the sound of a bell.
"While discovering Yeka Haski work, I instantly smelled fluffy pink candy floss, reminiscence of childhood, dissolving the adults’ world into a colorful sweetness: a kind of post-regressive ‘décalage’. I wanted to create a round smell that makes you feel happy, full of energy, bursting with joy! I imagined a fragrance around the smell of Carensac candy (a French candy with a licorice flavor), and I twisted it with an funky poetic floral and fruity accord of mandarin blossom, softened by pink musk!"
